Car seat shops - East Midlands

Hi, just wondering if anyone could let me know the best place to go and start looking for our next car seat? Our first was from mamas & papas and came as part of our travel system but the information we got about it literally only went as far as ‘you can have a cybex or maxi-cosi in this deal’. We’ve now realised there’s A LOT more to it with next stage seats so want to go to the right place! Nottingham based xx

@Lavern Smyths is a toy shop, personally I’ve heard lots of horror stories. I wouldn’t go anywhere near them! 🥴 Edited to add, they don’t sell many reputable brands. They don’t sell any seats which are Swedish plus tested. @Natasha like I said before, each to their own mumma, I hope everyone makes decisions that work for them, we’re in a age of free information, I was just suggesting from my own experience 😬😇 we shouldn’t be bashing options and fear mongering each other if we don’t take up certain advices…My suggestion may not be the best FOR YOU, leave it there and add your suggestion and help each other out, it’s the internet and we have much better things to do than bashing each others helpful suggestions. Another recommendation for midlands car seat centre in Derby.you need to book an appointment but they are v knowledgeable and super helpful!

Thankyou everyone! Will book an appointment at Midlands car seat centre when the time comes, hoping to get a little bit longer out of our Cloud T first but wanting to be prepared for the expense when it comes! We absolutely won’t be heading to Smyths though x

Just so you know, the britax max safe pro (RF until 7yo) is currently selling for around £170, so that expense might not be as much as you’re thinking x
