Baby hasn’t gained weight
Hey!
Me and my baby had our 6 week follow up appointment on Friday 21st March (she’s 10 weeks old but go couldn’t get us in🙄). She was weighed at 5.21kg but the last time she was weighed by the health visitor on 25th Feb she weighed 5.2kg meaning she hasn’t put any weight on in a month…???
I mentioned it to the doctor during our appointment and she said that because my baby had visibly grown in height/length then she doesn’t think it is anything to worry about as the milk has probably all gone to bone and muscle. (She is breastfed btw)
I’ve also noticed that everytime she has a full feed she will do a huge poo instantly after/if not during (not sure if this has got anything to do with it?)
I just wondered if anyone has had a similar experience?
I know the doctor said it’s not anything to worry about but I can’t help but worry…

Hi I think your in the wrong group this group is for January 2024 babies that will now be one x
However mine had a problem with gaining weight and was prescribed similac and we were under a dietician as she had dropped below the lines it often isn't a medical concern if they don't lose weight

Im so sorry but I honestly dont remember the ins and outs of how it was when my little one was this age, BUT I will say I worried so so much over weight gain and milk intake even though she was happy and healthy, and now she is 14 months I kick myself for how worried I was- I dont mean that to tell you not to worry just that its normal to worry but if your doctor is happy then all will be okay youre doing great x
