I heard a tip about rewarding with a sticker for poops in the potty
We've been training for 3 weeks now and she turns 3 on 8th April. She had been showing the signs she was ready for quite a while before we started training
Exactly the same boat here. My little girl is perfect for her wees and never has accidents. But poos in her knickers. Sometimes if we catch her in time you can get her on the toilet. But mostly it’s in her pants. We make a massive deal of it when she does it in the toilet we’ve tried rewards etc. no change: so I’m hoping one day it might just click haha
Oh yes my son was the same. Pee was fine poos were hell. He just didn’t seem to mind going in his pants but we just kept trying over I think 2 months and then super randomly he was with his dad one day at home and just said I need a poo and ran to the toilet and did one it was the strangest thing! We did introduce a reward jar with dinosaurs around that time (1 for wees 2 for poos) so not sure if that played a role. Ever since that time he has maybe had 1/2 accidents of poo. A friends of mine had the exact same with her daughter, one day she just got it. So random.
Our little boy did his first poo on the toilet today after toilet training for about 4 weeks, but that's only because we ran to get him there in time, and there were lots of tears. I think it's as others have said, just perseverance.
We’ve been toilet trained with wees since Jan, and still not much success with the poos. We have tried so much. He just gets scared of it and lots of tears x
What age did you start potty training? We’re not sure when to start!
