Working on my birth plan

Hey Canadian moms who kept their placentas, what did you do with yours? Looking for ideas.

I got mine made into pills and then took as directed! Can't be sure but I think it helped alot with my post partum emotions (anxiety/depression) I felt very level headed. My bleeding wasn't too heavy, and I had a good milk supply. I contribute all of those things to the placenta but obviously can't prove it!

@Amanda That’s amazing to hear! I’ve read about encapsulation. Did you get it done professionally, or did you do it yourself?

I got my first encapsulated, I threw my second one out after it was in my freezer for a few months lol (home birth but i would take it home if I was in the hospital or birth centre)

@Rae i got it done professionally! :)

I'm not Canadian, but I got my last one encapsulated and took as directed. I didn't have ppd or ppa this time around, I stopped bleeding at 2 weeks pp, and my milk supply is still going strong. I can't prove it, but it sure does make sense since that's the only thing I have done differently this time around.

Encapsulated. It can help postpartum or even dying menopause later in life
