Possible postpartum period disregulation

Hi all! I’m a first time mom. I’ve got a 5 month old. He was born 10/9. I have been exclusively formula feeding only since February. My breast milk supply has been low since the start and went down even lower in January. Anyways, I got my 1st period after baby on January 20th. It was the same as always. I didn’t get a period in February. I had been getting several faint positive pregnancy tests on only the strip for of tests only since maybe March 7th. All of the other kinds of pregnancy tests said, “negative” or “not pregnant.” I was confused. I finally went into OB for a blood test. It said HCG was 1, so not pregnant. I still haven’t had my 2nd period after baby. Has this happened to anyone? Also, should I retest at some point, or no? I had irregular periods before pregnancy, but I’ve gone this long without having one. Oh, here’s my little guy.

It happens. It took nearly 9 months for me to even get my period with my second vs my first I got it after 7weeks. Our bodies are weird but it just takes time. Remember everything is still funky hormone wise for a hot minute. Don't stress

@Nicole, I’ve heard it can take months to come back, especially if you’re exclusively breast feeding. What I don’t really understand is why my 2nd period since birth hasn’t come back. I got my 1st period 3.5 months postpartum.

@Kayla Bandy getting one doesn't mean the rest will be totally normal. I'm 15 months pp and mine are just now beginning to even out lol it's an annoyance but I just keep cheap pregnancy tests on hand just in case

I’m 17 months post partum and my periods aren’t regulated. My friend is almost 2 years post partum and hers aren’t regulated either. Everyone is different and I just wouldn’t question it honestly. I wouldn’t retest since you’d hcg was only 1

I had my 1st period January 18th right before 3mpp(stopped brestfeeding my 4th and 3rd) then started my mini pill didn't get one since but I recently (on the 19th) tested positive on 3 different tests so I since stopped my bc 😅🥲 was totally unplanned never gotten pregnant on the mini pill before I was on it after my 1st and 2nd for 2 years so this is all new to me
