Anaesthetist appointment

I’m booked in to see the anaesthesiologist next month, I have a curve in my spine that was only discovered during my previous section under a different hospital and it made getting the spinal in really difficult. They’re having a look just to work out my back so if I end up having to have another section they’ll know best way to get the spinal in. My midwife said they’ll just talk through my previous section and have a look at my back so prepare to have top off (with bra on obviously) and potentially fill in any consent paperwork ahead of time x

I have mine in April so would be intrigued to know what happens if you can provide an update after 😊

Mine is April too. Had the glucose test today though and my midwife talked through my upcoming appointments. She said it’s just a chat / assessment to check the issues I have with my spine to see if I would be able to have a spinal if needed, or discuss other options - like general anaesthetic xxx

Thanks ladies, It was a general chat about my options on pain relief risks and pros and to go over any health issues I have and the plan going forward. It was good as I now feel more prepared x
