For holiday is it better to have a car seat and travel pushchair or pushchair and car seat?

We didn’t need a car seat and I was stressing about this loads

We just took a pushchair. Been abroad twice with lo now. Both times sat on our lap on the plane and coach transfer.

I think it depends on how much you expect to be in the car. I’ve done one trip with a big pram/bassinet at the time and a car seat and just done another with a travel pram only and it was far easier with just a travel pram. In taxis I kept him in a carrier on me and used a seatbelt over us both

I’d say it depends how much you’re going to be in the car. Legally if you’re taking a taxi or a bus they can be on your knee. If you’re hiring a car you can ask for a car seat to be included but I have heard a lot of stories about seats being provided that are not appropriate for baby’s age or not in good condition so it might be worth taking your own. Personally I’d opt for travel pushchair and car seat if needed, rather than putting the car seat onto your pushchair if that’s what you were thinking, just because it will be more comfortable for naps out and about etc x
