rear face car seat

hi! i’m looking for suggestions on car seats that fit in a small car.. i want my baby in a rear facing car seat as long as possible - however!! the car that the car seat will have to go in is a fiat punto (so very small car) and me and my partner can’t seem to find a car seat that is small enough to fit in without it being a forward facing one. i have been told by my health visitor if i can’t find a rear facing car seat for this car then my baby can go in a forward facing as she meets the requires to do so but i don’t want to be forward facing her rn tbh.

We have a Fiat punto and this is the car seat we us rear facing behind the passenger seat - but squashed as the passenger but the seat goes up to 4 years+

Have you have a look at the Avionaut Sky? This will rear face up to 25kg. I’ve just bought the Axkid Minikid 2 which will do the same weight limit. We have to push the front seat forwards but my partner just sits in the back haha. I think I read that the avionaut is more compact but might be worth asking in the groups on Facebook too.

I have a fiat 500 and we have an avionaut sky x

Try a group on facebook called Car Seat Safety UK. The people who run it are car seat specialists and will take into account car, budget and centiles 😌

If you can’t fit a rear facing seat then you can fit a forward facing seat. You need a 55cm survival gap from the back seat to the front seat to have a forward facing car seat. Rear facing I would look at axkid seats or avionaut sky

Another vote for the Avionaut Sky. It's the smallest seat with decent rear facing limits. I've got mine in the back of a small car and it's loads better than the back up Graco seat we have.

I got a axkid movekid which is meant to be fairly compact. I have it in the back of my VW polo and there's deffo still space for a passenger in front. Would be worth seeing if there's any erf car seat specialists near you, I went to one and they could have tested seats in my car if I wanted (I was set on the movekid though). I found the retailers through 2 Facebook groups: Bump to Booster Extended rear facing (erf) car seat safety Hopefully one of the admins (all retailers) will be near you :)

Ch cl out the car seat safety UK page on Facebook, I'm the same and am rear facing until they outgrown their seat and it was recommended that the avionaut sky 2.0 is the most compact and isn't isofix, we're hoping to get 5/6 years out of it😊xx
