@Chelsea what makes you say that
As far as I’m aware it’s only GP that can do them, you can delay them, there’s no issue as far as I’m aware
@Gabriele oh okay thank you, the NHS website said a child health clinic could but wasn’t sure if we had one around here but thank you for letting me know! Xx
My gp said they had nothing available until my daughter was 11 weeks. I personally wasn't happy to wait that long as she's already been poorly and want her to get imms ASAP. Spoke to health visiting who said it shouldn't really wait until later than 9 weeks and advised me to write to the practice manager I did and got given a 9 week appointment So if you want it done sooner I'd write to them (email)
@Katie oh amazing I’ll do that then! They’ve told me they can’t do any earlier because the nurse is on holiday but I just can’t believe that there is no one available to do it for basically a month!! Xx
Mine didn't get her 1st lot till around 12 weeks, in fact all hers were delayed for various reasons. Wasn't bothered as we weren't really mixing with loads of people so risk I felt was low, but totally understand that staff availability shouldn't be a reason to delay for a month. So they'll have no nurse appointments at the surgery all that time? Feels like a huge gap for patients!
I'd take that as a blessing in disguise
