Hello! I exclusively formula fed my first and did loads of switching to find the best one for him. I was never advised to do this by a GP, he just had colic and was sick a lot so I was looking for the one he could keep down the best. Ultimately, after a lot of research, I found they are all very similar in their core ingredients so I wouldn’t worry about swapping and changing. My son is 2.5 now and eats like a champ after dropping formula all together just after his first birthday. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it though don’t feel like you have to provided there’s not an important medical need at play of course. Hope this helps.

@Grace yes thank you

All 1st infant formula legally has to be made to the same regulatory standard. The only difference is that some companies add additional nutrients but these aren’t necessary. On this basis, you’re highly unlikely to cause any harm switching. Why do they keep advising you to change? If it’s due to CMPA symptoms or suspected lactose intolerance, they should be prescribing you milk to try. If it’s due to reflux then they can prescribe medication for that too x

@Mia yes they're prescribing
