Advice please!

Hi I’m after some advice as I’m driving myself crazy here. Think I ovulated around the 10th/11th March, on Thursday 20th being my usual impatient self I took an early response 6 days early clear blue pregnancy test which I was quite sure gave me a very very faint line, Saturday 22nd I took another & got the same, no change & also started what I thought I recognised as implantation bleeding tiny spot of dark blood & then pale pink / brownish smears more like discharge than blood when I wiped. This was on & off on Saturday & a little on Sunday & then nothing since. According to my clear blue app if I’ve got the date of my last period right then I should have started my period yesterday but so far no signs. I tested yesterday with a first response 6 days early & got absolutely nothing & also used a standard clear blue & think I got a very very faint line. Tested this morning on another 6 days early clear blue & again got another very very faint line. All lines have been so faint I have no idea what is going on all I know is they are not completely blank, my period is late & I thought judging by my first pregnancy that I had had implantation bleeding but not I’m not so sure I’m reading into all sorts like perimenopause (I’m 38) & chemical pregnancies & getting so down about it all 😔

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this, it's so stressful not fully knowing. Have you tried one of the clear blue pregnant/ not pregnant tests? Can you post your faint test too? I'm also perimenopause and 39 so I get the stress of the symptoms but I would have thought with a faint line and being late that you would be 100% pregnant, I also ovulated around the same time as you and got my faint line on Saturday and then when I tested yesterday on a different test it was faint but I got a "pregnant" on a clear blue x

@Leah I'm so sorry to hear this and that's really scary to think because a lot of people including me don't continue to test! Would you have known it was a chemical pregnancy any other way? It looks super positive with these tests, I bought cheap ones but didn't see any kind of line with mine until much later than with a first response, but my cheapies were different to yours so yours are probably better and more sensitive 😊 x

@Shell unfortunately I’ve had a few miscarriages, 2 being MMC and 2 chemical pregnancies. I think the biggest difference was the bleeding and time frame, a chemical is classed before 5 weeks but otherwise there really isn’t much to tell rather than testing. This is the first time I’ve definitely overtested but mostly because I tried the baby aspirin for the first time. Im not sure what these pick up but was having the faintest shadow from 8DPO but I new id go silly with them so stuck to the cheapies. I’m sure these were from Asda or Boots xx

@Shell thank you ☺️. 2 days past my period due date now & still nothing as in no bleeding, I’m not testing again until the weekend & it’s all too stressful for me 🙈. I did just a standard clear blue not an early days one on Tuesday day my period was supposedly due & it had a very faint line but it was faint. I threw all my tests out as they were stressing me out & I know you can’t take anything from the lines past the time frame so I have nothing to show for them other than what I remember & my other half looked at the one on Saturday too. I don’t know if I am defo premenopausal I certainly haven’t been before now & have not had symptoms to make me think I was I’m just googling everything at the minute to find out what has happened to my period & why I’m not getting darker lines or my period / chemical bleed 😔🙈. I was ok with the first couple of tests being faint but I’d have thought by yesterday they should have been darker almost a week since I first tested & still not darker x

@Shell massive congratulations on your pregnancy ☺️xx

@Leah I’m so sorry to hear that 😢, do you mind me asking when you started to bleed with your chemical? I still have bed no bleeding, 6 days after what I think was implantation bleeding & 2 days after my period was supposedly due. I keep saying supposedly due as I am not 100% sure I put the correct date for the first day of my last period into my clear blue app but if I was wrong it would only have been by a day or so. My line hasn’t disappeared in the last 6 weeks other than a negative on 2 different types of tests other 4 tests have had the very faint lines, it’s just not getting darker at all. I think mine probably looked more like your 5th from bottom test each time & didn’t change 3 of the tests were 6 days early ones. Congratulations on your pregnancy ☺️xx

I found out on the Friday I was due on my period I was pregnant and by the Thursday I had what I originally thought was spotting got heavier but still lighter than my period. I spoke to the EPAU who said they’d scan me in the Tuesday if I was still showing positive. But I had the most negative of all negative tests. If you’ve been getting positives for 6 weeks I’d definitely contact your doctor to refer you to the EPAU, they might want to scan you to see what’s been going on on. Even roughly how late would you say you were on your period? Xx

Thank you for sharing that with me ☺️, I may still have a little way to go then until I start bleeding if it is a chemical, clear blue app predicted my period to have been due Tuesday from the info I put in of first day of last period & all test results from my ovulation tests however I may have been a day or so out with my date of last period I’m pretty sure I got it right but not 100% xx

@Leah I totally understand why you would have tested so much I think I would be exactly the same! I had a miscarriage a few years back now when I was around 7 weeks, it's an awful experience and makes subsequent pregnancy so difficult, you just can't relax and enjoy it, I'm really paranoid with this one and keep checking Everytime I go to the loo 🤦🏼‍♀️ I think it stays with you, so sorry to hear about your other miscarriages they're awful experiences no matter how common they are, they hurt pretty deep xx

@Shell isn’t going to the toilet the worst? I kind of side eye the tissue after I’ve been and breathe a sigh of relief. It’s weird because I’m having so many of the same symptoms I had with my daughter 6 years ago and I’m sooo close to a dye stealer. I know that’s no indication of a successful pregnancy but at the minute it’s making me feel soo much better xx

@Leah ah that's really good! You have to do what makes you feel better at this point, it's really difficult but we have to think positive and just hope everything goes ok 🤞🏼🤞🏼😊
