@Sinead it’s so stressful isn’t it, it’s honestly been a shock for me going from a full time wage to basically half of it… I honestly don’t know how we’re expected to live of it After bills and essentials. I’m sure everything will be fine regardless just wish there was more out there xx I’ve tried surveys/research etc but it’s not as good as people make out and don’t always pay more than a few pound if that… hoping people can give some suggestions 😭
do you own your home? or private rent/council? i think people who own their home can’t claim benefits or something, but we private rent and we’ve planned to claim UC whilst on maternity. I had to claim it when I went on mat leave with my first because of the pay, it helps a little, and i’m not usually entitled to it but during mat leave i am cause the pay is shocking lol so that may be something to think about too xx
See if you can get UC whilst on maternity. If not then make use of Vinted and similar
i am crying constantly being financially scared. like we tried for this baby, and we have liveable money and a 3 year old, but i’m due end of april and the mat pay is abysmal and i just keep crying over stress and money. i’ll follow this post for any tips or tricks to earn extra even if it’s by doing surveys etc x
