Pram transition

What age do you transition from the lie flat part of the pram to the sitting up part? Or how do you know when it’s time to?

From what I know it’s when they can hold their heads up securely on their own for extended periods of time and can sit up on their own - usually expected around 6 months is what they say x

I havent done it yet but i have the maxi cosi fame and the sitting up part says its also suitable from birth just as long as its led flat and facing you but i was thinking of doing it when she was maybe 4/5 months, weather is a bit better and has more head control as i find the carrycot is nice and warm in there for her x

I have changed today at 10 weeks because he will not go in the bassinet but, never liked it. He’s got pretty good head control and is well strapped in. I have the silver cross reef pram which says from birth it’s suitable

Thank you for your responses. I’ve been torn as my LO is 3 months old and is getting too long for the bassinet. I have done a bit of research and it seems as long as it’s reclined it’s safe from birth, I guess only one way to find out 😁 x
