@Kiera It’ll be for when they’ve turned 1 I’m trying to get it sorted or least know what’s what before hand as I’ve seen a few with many good offers on, budget not massively expensive these two have got offers on a few sites. First time doing this as I’m a ftm
So although it’s legal to forward face from 15 months OR 9kg in certain seats, it’s not safe unfortunately. I would strongly suggest you try and keep your child rear facing for as long as possible, a good budget seat for 6+ months is the Joie stages or graco slimfit R129, they’re around £80-£100, are these within budget? They offer rear facing to 105cm or 18/22kg which is roughly age 4 for an average size child. I hope this helps and makes sense?🥰
I got the puggle for Grandparents car and ended up sending it back as couldn’t get it to strap in the car securely - it was very wobbly. We went to Halfords and got their own brand one, rear facing until 4ish, R129 tested and only £60 (if you have blue light you can save £5 too)
I would not forward face my child until about 5 minimum tbh. Puggle is a terrible brand so I really wouldn’t go with them for anything at all whether forward or rear facing. Depending on budget, child weight and height etc it’s hard to recommend a seat. Ive just bought an Axkid Minikid 2 for my son as this will rear face until 25kg, it’s 5 times safer to keep baba rear facing than forward facing!
Both are equally awful and flimsy and won’t be safe for a one year old. Graco Slimfit R 129 is a great option if you’re looking for a budget seat
Yes, you can use it either way but as above, it’s nowhere near as safe when used forward facing xx
We need more info. How old is your child? What your budget? Is there a reason you’re only looking ar forward facing car seats?
