Disability leave (California)
I was wondering if I can apply tomorrow for state disability since today is my official day to start. And my last day of work was yesterday. I’m 30 weeks and have GD and just can’t do it at work anymore so my doctor pulled me out.

But I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to get disability even short term. I’d definitely apply!
@Sydney yeah my doctor has to fill out the short term disability forms today. My job said I’ll get 100% pay with the short term. I just need to figure out the state disability application since the account is in my maiden name and not my married name.

Tbh I think you would qualify if your doctor pulled you out of work themselves, have you asked if they can assist you in getting short term for now? From what I know I think you have to get a referral from a doctor stating why you need temp disability.. rn I’m on unemployment so just message me if you’re having a hard time getting disability and I can guide you on unemployment if you want
