Hey there. I had the same worry when our little one failed in one ear. It must have been fluid, just as they thought it might be, because her next test was perfect.
We had the same problem in one ear, and when retested it was fine. They said it could be fluid or baby moving a lot. They prefer to do the test when babies are sleeping. I wouldn’t worry about it I’m sure she will be fine.
We had the same problem too! Failed in the left ear so had to go back to the hospital to re do it at a later time. She said it probably was due to background noise etc. His left ear was totally fine 🙂 please try not to worry x

Try not to worry too much. My baby failed on his left ear at first and then passed when we went back at 12 days old. They said it was likely just mucus etc in his ear that he hadn’t cleared yet
The nurse that checked my baby eyes failed on one until another checked it and it was fine . Don’t panic , baby will be fine
Yeah my son failed in one ear the first time. He still had loads of mucus in it. Went back on Tuesday and all fine :)

Aww try not to worry! I heard that it's very normal for them to fail their hearing tests early on as they can still have fluid in their ears from inside the womb. & tbh it sounds like the lady either wasn't doing it properly or just couldn't get a good reading due to your baby's position at the time. I know it will be a long 4 days for you worrying but I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine 🙏 Do report back here after the next test! It will be okay 💕
