We also have the potty training book Ms Rachel put out.
I didn’t end up using it bc mine just suddenly, & painfully, decided he was done with diapers at 18m, but I had joined a FB support group about the book Oh Crap! Potty training. I followed the group for quite a while & did plan on getting the book, it was in my Amazon cart the morning he kicked me in the chest to keep me from putting his day diaper on, so of course I just put him down without pants and put a potty chair in the living room instead, obviously I wasn’t about to force him to stay in diapers, too bad he didn’t just tell me no though. Lol I always recommend the book though, it really is one of those that can be adjusted to fit any parenting style, including my more gentle child led approach to parenting that hasn’t failed me yet in going on 16yrs of parenting. Btw, my family does what’s known now as Elimination Communication, both of mine have ditched diapers at 18m, very common w EC, he was just in a LONG pause, so I looked at alternatives.
P is for Potty Sesame Street book is a good one with interactive flaps. We also liked Diapers Are Not Forever by Elizabeth Verdick
My son’s favorite was Let’s Go to the Potty by Allison Jandu. He also liked Once Upon a Potty by Alina Frankel, and You Can go to the Potty by William Sears . Allison Jandu also has a book for parents, Potty Training in 5 Easy Steps (which I think is also sold under the title Potty Training for Busy Parents) that I found very helpful and encouraging.
Time to pee by mo willams
@Christina I love OH Crap! Potty Training. My LO preferred a baby shark one with buttons and one i think just called potty and potty book for boys. We found a few books that you can color with water in, too!
Ms Rachel has one. I think she also has an entire potty training toilet set that might make it fun for them. I plan to get that once my daughter is ready.
