Do you feel intimidated going to a stay and play when you don’t know anyone?

I have two children and always feel judged whilst I struggle to chase after my girls to make sure they don’t get hurt or hurt someone whilst all the mums have a coffee relax and give me evils never a smile never a warm welcome just me?

I’ll be honest, no one really cares. I never look at anyone and think that and none of my friends have never commented that too. Most mums are in the same position, so go with your girls and have fun! 🥰🥰🥰😘

I'd join the mums with their coffee and leave your girls too it like they seem to with their kids!

I feel like this too my son is autistic so I literally have to follow him everywhere. He doesn’t speak and I’m scared of other children being mean to him 😢

Hmm maybe try a different group? Where I go all mums are chasing wild toddlers 😅 none are judging

No , I am there for my baby so I don’t

@Alex maybe I need to find a group like that :)

I just try to ignore it and focus on my daughter. It can be intimidating when everyone seems to be there with their friends and your alone 🥲 I just try to pay no attention

I feel the same at play groups, usually I just go and play with my son while most of the Moms already have their “click”. Even when my son smiles at their child they still ignore

@Sam same girl 🤦‍♀️

No. I started going at 2m pp. Of course at that age it’s mainly for me, mothers group meets at a playcentre and U12m is free so I was there twice a week until he turned 1. Then once a week. Is “stay and play” a playgroup? I’ve never heard that term before.
