UC on Maternity
I don't suppose anyone could give me some guidance on UC on Maternity.
I already know I'm entitled to some support as I'm renting and I know how much I'm entitled too.
I just don't know when to apply.
I've just received my last full pay pay packet.
I'll move to half pay now.
Then to statutory.
Do I wait for the pay slip proving I get nothing but statutory or can I start the claim before that?

So it takes about 5 weeks before the first payment. When I spoke to them with the same question, they said I could do it whenever, just the amount you get will vary depending on what you’re bringing home that month. Just to note though, the date you get your payments depends on the date you apply. I didn’t realise this and have to have my payments after bills are actually due as there’s no way to change the date 😅
