Baby has dropped a centile
Hi!
I went and got my girl weighed yesterday as she turned 12 weeks old today - her weight her gone up (only be a pound in 4 week), plenty of dirty and wet nappies and her milk take has increased however she has dropped a centile.
Should I be worried?

My little girl only put on 1oz in one week! She was 7lb 12 at birth and at 3 weeks she was 8lb 5 and at 4weeks old she was only 8lb 6z. As above said, as long as it’s increasing and she is having wet and dirty nappies I would say it’s not anything to worry about.

Hey mama, I know how worrying it can be when you hear your baby has dropped a centile, but from what you’ve said, she’s still gaining weight, having plenty of wet and dirty nappies, and taking more milk,that’s all really positive! Some babies naturally settle into a different growth curve as they get older, and a slight drop in centiles doesn’t always mean something is wrong, especially if she’s otherwise happy, alert, and feeding well. If she had dropped multiple centiles or was showing signs of not getting enough milk, then it might be more concerning You’re doing an amazing job, and your little girl is lucky to have a mama who cares so much❤️
