Bath with soap

Midwife told us to just use water for washing when my baby was born but at what point is it ok to use baby soaps, moisturiser etc on baby. Dont want to start too early but his wee skin is quite dry and could use some moisturiser

I used it from his first bath after his cord fell off x

if your breast feeding or pumping you can use some colostrum mixed in vaseline on their skin to moisturise xx

i used them from when his cord fell off xx

My daughter is 19 weeks, still only use water for washing. We started using a moisturiser from My Expert Midwife a couple of weeks ago as she had a few dry patches of skin. The moisturiser says it is suitable from 3 months

i started when mine were about a month i think x

I didn't use soap for a long time but I started moisturiser after baths around 10 weeks old

I've used soap once a week since birth! but no true bath until his cord came off and the wound healed

Midwife told me soap after 6 weeks

Coconut oil for baby dry skin. I already had it for myself, I just used it on baby as well. No need to buy anything extra

Thanks everyone. Quite mixed reviews but he’s only 2 weeks so I’ll hold off for a bit I think. Cord came off last week so he’s good in that department xx

Didn’t use soap till 1month old. Use unscented once a week and lots of lotion
