I was told you can ask the cab services to provide one? Not too sure on this?
@Aimee the car seats they provide are often forward facing and very old designed for much older children. They’re also thrown around between cars etc so I wouldn’t rely on them to protect your LO in an accident x
Yes take one if you have one. We have gone on a coupe of holidays without and had bad experiences- either car hire companies had damaged or very unsuitable ones or taxis turned up with unsuitable ones or none at all! It’s not worth stressing over in my opinion! Take one you can clip to the buggy or we got a Joie stages one that will work up to age 7 (from birth) and that works with a seatbelt so you can literally clip in and go in any car!
@Yasmin thank you for this! I have absolutely no idea For poster, I’m sure there’s also companies who can hire you one out there as I know my friend does this but not 100% sure on that advise either just ideas for alternatives xx
I would take it. Sitting with an infant on your lap is extremely unsafe and if you were to be in an accident your LO would almost certainly suffer very severe injuries if not worse without being in a car seat for protection. It only takes a short stretch to get into an accident and we always think it won’t happen to us - not worth the risk imo x
