Inconsolable burping

Little girl is 7 weeks old and for the past couple of days has just broken out into tears whenever she has gas. She will scream and squirm until she inevitably burps or farts. Is this normal to develop?? Is it something I should be worried about? She's never been like this before and it's very distressing for both me and her! 😪 Any tips for getting a burp out quickly to help stop the crying?

If you’re bottle feeding make sure you’re pace feeding and stopping part way through to burp. If breastfeeding get your latch checked and make sure baby isn’t taking in air. Also take them off part way through a feed for a burp!

My now 7 mo was just like that! We did gas drops at first, but I’ve found that windi from Frida works way better with gas. For burps, we found sitting her up and moving her torso side to side or in gentle circles worked better! She never burped when we pat her back :)

My 5 weeks old did the same, apparently it's normal until their digestive system settles. My health visitor recommended Infacol and/or gripe water. I've been using gripe water which has helped with the burping and passing gas

My little one is almost 7 weeks and he does the same. It’s horrible, but we just try all the tricks to get the gas out and then he calms
