Is this a good newborn baby carrier?

Looking to buy a newborn baby carrier but don’t want to spend loads if I can get myself a bargain

I think they usually recommend a wrap sling for newborns as they’re softer and more comfortable for them. Xx

Definitely go for a soft wrap / sling for newborn stages - the koala cuddle band was great for us - quite a lot of the structured carriers don’t really provide a good, healthy fit until 3+ months. For example in the photo on the box, the back of the carrier is way up baby’s neck; this isn’t recommended as baby should always be able to move their neck / head away in case of restricted breathing x

We have this one and didn’t use it for a while with our daughter. It was way too big and baggy for her until she was at least a few months old. We used a sling wrap to begin with before transitioning into this.

It's not great for a newborn, or for an older baby actually as it has a very narrow base. Close caboo is really popular for newbies or if you want a buckle carrier then ergobaby embrace is popular. Try and find your local sling library for some help, you can hire them or some even offer newborn slings for free

It’s not good for newborns, you’re better off with a wrap until there a couple of months and then a carrier xx

It was uncomfy for me. Didn't breathe well and made me sweat a lot.

It’s not good for newborn or older baby tbh it doesn’t get a good ergonomic fit at all. You can get used carriers cheaper from Vinted. Close Caboo is a great one for newborns then something like a Tula Free to Grow for when baby is 3ish months old!

Agree with others, it's not a great option. Ideally you're looking for something with a wider base so it supports baby's legs from knee to knee, not just holding them at the crotch and letting their legs dangle. There are lots of options which are suitable for newborns and many more which will work from a few months old. Which is best for you is really personal, it depends on your size/shape as well as your preferences. I'd definitely recommend finding your local sling library to try some out in person and speak to someone knowledgeable about all of the options. If that's not possible then there are a few online sling libraries where you can hire by post with video chats for advice/fit checks

I like my mom cozy one

Momcozy tends to fit from three months on , even though it might advertise as newborn Maybe an ergo baby embrace, or a stretchy wrap until can fit an older baby structured carrier
