First appt ultrasound?

I had my beta hcg at 4 weeks to confirm and I have my first prenatal and ultrasound appointment at 8 weeks and a few days
That’s so strange that you wouldn’t get a first ultrasound at your first appointment. From my understanding, as long as you are 8 weeks or more, you always get one. And then the one after that isn’t until much later on. I am 7 weeks and I have mine on Monday. I asked to push it a bit earlier due to some weird symptoms I’ve been having. I feel like I might be farther along than I thought.
@Esteffania okay that’s what I’m thinking! I also had a miscarriage in October I was 9 weeks so I feel like if they don’t do one, I’m going to request we do one just to put my mind at ease. But at my previous first appts I always got an ultrasound. I have a new provider now though and she just said that I would need to come in for a confirmation of pregnancy but I failed to ask her what all the appointment would consist of. I don’t want to get my hopes up just for them to tell me I can’t get an ultrasound. I have my appt Wednesday, but I’ll call Monday to see what’s actually going on.
I had an ultrasound at 7w1d at my first ob appointment. Got to see baby and hear heartbeat!
I dont know yet but I hope an ultrasound
Update: I called my OB office, she put a request for one on my files for my appt but she said it’s at the providers discretion to let me do an ultrasound- so hopefully they will do one for my peace of mind🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I'm hoping to get an ultrasound bc i will be 11 weeks. But idk we shall see. If not then I'll just go to an ultrasound place to get one done. 😆
I ended up getting an ultrasound because I advocated for myself. My nurse wasn’t happy about it, but she did it for me anyway, and I am appreciative for that🙏🏼
I had my first OB appointment at 7 weeks and they did not do an ultrasound. My doctor told me to schedule that for a month later, so I get it in a few more weeks at 11 weeks. I was sad because I really expected a first appointment ultrasound lol
My first was @ 6 weeks, I’ve had 2 ultrasounds so far. My next appointment I’ll be almost 10 weeks. I’m high risk so they been giving me ultrasounds every two weeks
My doc wanted me to come in for bloodwork to confirm pregnancy, and after it was confirmed I had to come in again after two days to see how far long I am. After those results came in they scheduled my first ultrasound!
