@Codi thank you for this response! I’m 8 months PP and I gained 60 lbs when pregnant and I still haven’t been able to shake the weight. It has me so insecure in my body honestly, but hearing what helped you inspires me🙏🏼
It took me 1.5 years, lots of dead bugs bird dogs reverse planks 12-3-30 method on treadmill then I moved on to weighted dead bugs bird dogs reverse planks also pelvic floor breathing as well and connecting it all together! Now I just had my second and I’m using the sculpt society app to heal it again!
Also to be honest the weight lifted when I stopped breastfeeding and leveled out my hormones with supplements like berberine and I drank a lot of bone broth it had a lot of benefits! I also watched what I ate but I didn’t restrict myself heavily I went up to 150lbs my first pregnancy and back down to 127lbs! Don’t let drs discourage you either, you can completely heal it on your own!!
Pelvic floor therapy. Sounds unrelated but your abs, back and pelvic floor are very much related. So I’d look into that. Especially for diastasis recti. Pelvic floor therapist address that. Along with ab workouts
Planks. Reverse planks. Diaphragmatic breathing. Lying on the floor and kicking you legs up for 20mins lol. Lots of workout advice on IG, my FYP is full of them these days coz I follow PP fitness accounts.
My wrists hurt when I do reverse planks (or anything that involves my wrists on the floor) so I lie on the floor and kick my legs up and down. Lots of these mums don’t use any equipment. I don’t step foot in the gym except for classes, my workouts are at home except for my dance classes. I do 10k steps most days but that doesn’t really help w my core per se that just helps me maintain the weight that I’ve lost https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGBpHhjJZP3/?igsh=MWJ5YnV6emh6OTNheg==

@Kaitlyn same!! 7m pp I gained 50lbs and only lost 20, it’s soooo hard
I did a lot of walking and honestly just watching what i ate. I didn’t deprive myself of my guilty pleasures but i tried to do more full meals and water or body armor. I also breast fed so i think that helped me burn calories. If i did “work out” it was mostly stretching and some planking or core strengthening exercises similar to that.
