Mine is on the phone a week before - interesting how different it is x

Pre op is to take blood any medication and medical history nothing more and just a sign of the consent form. On the day you might have to wait longer as emergency c sections can come in any moment and they get priority first. So make sure to bring snacks just incase they say you don’t need to fast anymore

Mine was last Friday- I did blood tests and gave me instructions and the medication I need to take the night before. Oh and also a pair of compression socks. Make sure you have a list of questions and make sure you insist on getting answers. Otherwise they may not walk you through it. I suppose it depends on the hospital, policy, person etc. But make sure you and your partner go there with questions.

Had mine this morning and it was literally a blood test and it took 10 mins. I had all my info by email re medicine etc. I just went on my own but I think you can take someone with you if you wanted to x

I had mine yesterday and they tested me for MRSA, did a urine test, did a blood test, I saw the anesthetist to run through what would happen for the csection and to answer any of my questions. Also took my blood pressure and weight. X

I also have my pre op next Sunday too x

Mine was pretty short it's more admin really, I don't think it would be necessary to take your partner with you, I went on my own. They did a blood test for my iron levels and I did a swab test for MRSA. They talked through how to prepare, the procedure and what to expect on the day and gave me some paperwork. And I was given the drinks to take in the morning and some medication to take to help with the sickness and a body wash to use.
