So I'm going to Dr's for same reason due to family history but one of things is diabetes can come on quickly and it's really dangerous if left for to long. How long have you been feeling like this for ?
@Rachel I don’t have any family history I believe. But I just feel like wouldn’t it feel worse? I know that sounds hypocritical, because it genuinely does affect me day to day as I’m so exhausted but in my head I think it would be very obvious, like calapsing or passing out or being rushed to hospital then you find out you have it? If that makes sense? I just have a worry I’m being dramatic and will be fobbed off
@Rachel as for how long I feel a long time with certain stuff eg, frequently toilet trips I feel has been since I was younger and always felt a way of not ‘fully rested’ but I’d say it’s ramped up the last couple months since jan ish? Where it’s a noticeable issue if that makes sense?
So if it's been awhile it's most likely not diabetes but stuff like this is always worth mentioning to Dr's as they know best . Don't let them fob you off as there could be a million reason and them confirming it isn't that is at least a step they can take if it's something your truly concerned about .
I had diabetes while I was pregnant and never had any symptoms. Didn't find out until I had my glucose test
@Sarah I’m not pregnant I was tested for it a few years ago when I was though and I didn’t have it
I was tested for diabetes when pregnant. Nothing Found out a couple of months ago that I'm pre diabetic. I also have PCOS. I didn't particularly have any symptoms. Was just a routine thing. Tiredness and fatigue could be PCOS.
Diabetes type 1 is 4 Ts. Tired (like fatigue) Toilet (frequent trips to urinate) Thirsty (and not being able to quench a thirst with plenty of liquids) Thinner (unexplained weight loss) You can be diagnosed in later life.

@Natalie thanks for replying. What exactly is pre diabetic as I’ve seen that mentioned online. How do they check for it? And do you need to do anything to help or take anything?
They check for it with a blood test. Looks at 3 months average of blood sugars. It means your levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be classed as diabetic yet. The NHS offered either face to face sessions or an app for support to improve diet etc to bring the level down.
Check your thyroid function as well
I didn’t see a mention of unexplained weight loss, which is a big symptom.
Just bear in mind, pre-diabetic relates to type 2 which is caused by diet and weight. It can be reversed and prevented. Type 1 is different. There is no Pre. It can't be prevented or reversed or cured.

I was diagnosed with type 1 about 31 yrs ago. I think a flu or virus triggered it. I lost A LOT of weight, peeing constantly and SO thirsty. I was lifeless on the sofa for a week before taken to emergency. Blurry vision. Oh and breath would’ve been bad, too, given all the other crap going on in my body.
It almost sounds like Hypoglycemia to me. That's what I am.
@Ash I should add, definitely not pregnant.
