Joie stages is good, bulky but pretty affordable. Rear faces until 18kg which is good

Britax Maxsafe Pro, rear faces to 36kg so lasts a very long time!

It’s a bit bulky, depends what car you have. I have it in my Golf. We’ve also got an Axkid Movekid which is more compact and have that in our Skoda Octavia so gives a bit more legroom for my husband to drive. Don’t know where you live but we have a car seat specialist in east anglia who will come out to your house and bring different car seats for you to try in your car. There are specialists all around the country if you want some advice. There are some groups on facebook that are run by them as well so you can get some free advice x
