Car seats

Anyone else feel that car seats are a complete minefield? 🤯 My little one has 5 car seats including infant carrier which we’ve recently stopped using and upgraded. Two are ours for both cars and both used often, and then two for relatives, different cars. I feel we’ve spent a crazy amount £££ on these, but I know safety is paramount. Have learnt a lot on car seat safety in previous months and many people say to me ‘if it is on the market then it must have passed testing, must be somewhat safe’ but I know there are some dodgy seats out there. Curious what are your thoughts and am I overthinking this 😂?

I would recommend joining a car seat safety group

@Brooke I think it’s the car seat safety group that’s blown my mind tbh 🤣

There is one that’s pretty wild lol I don’t recommend that one 😂

@Brooke that is probably the one I’ve joined! 🤣 I’m happy with all our seats just wondered whether we could’ve been a bit more cost effective in our selection (we’ve had great offers on all though) 😅

Def recommend a car seat safety group(taken with a pinch of salt) they can point you in the direction of your nearest car seat expert so you can actually talk to a person. They also help you install/check your own seats if you already bought one. But it is such a minefield 😂 I spent a whole year going round in circles 🙈

@Michaela Thank you. I’m more than happy with our seats, more so the safety, ADAC rating etc. But just reflecting on how much £ we’ve spent on them and how confusing it all is! 🤣 It certainly is! Prior to having a baby, during pregnancy and even the first couple of months, I was oblivious to it all 😅
