Fizzy pop

Does anyone give their 2 year old pop? My partners family looked at me like I’ve got three heads when I said they can’t give him a bottle of Pepsi 🤯 (no judgement if you do!)

Nope. But I'm quite strict I only let my eldest try some after she turned 10.

No, he’s tried a sip once but has never had any. The only ‘pop’ he’s had was the fizzy apple juice you can get in Germany 😂

No pop either!

Absolutely not!! My nearly 3 year old has only ever had milk, water and a smoothie if we make them together at home. Why on earth would anyone let their toddlers drink coke 😂😂😂 It’s actually irresponsible parenting and I openly admit I would judge those that do 😂😂🙈

No, the only treat is some sparkling water with a dash of apple/orange juice or a slice of lemon. Still water or milk otherwise. Pepsi and Coca-cola contain caffeine, too, and children usually have too much energy without it already 😅

Absolutely not. My toddler only gets water Can have juice on occasion

Definitely not! Mine has water or milk and sometimes offered weak squash if he's not drinking v much during the day. Would not be offering fizzy pop drinks any time soon. I'd be worried about dental decay with his milk teeth amongst other things

No a fruit shoot is a treat here !

Absolutely not. I’m even iffy when it comes to diluted. I’ll give it to him as a one off if I’m feeling generous. I’m big on strictly water - especially as kids can become very fussy with water so nope.

No, and honestly I would silently judge😂 I don’t even let him have squash unless he’s unwell and i need him to drink more, but that’s personal preference

Absolutely not! Pepsi!? We are a red bull family only x

@Jen this made me laugh 😂

Fruit shoot is a treat in our house. My eldest is nearly 8 and hasn’t ever tried fizzy

No way!!!

I’ve only ever gave my son water and milk, I’m too scared to try him with anything because I just know he will want it all of the time 🫠 he hasn’t asked so why just give it to him

Absolutely not, I don’t even drink it myself

Nope!! My brother gives it to his kids sometimes and it makes me cringe. A two year old does not need fizzy drinks 😅 my daughter doesn’t have squash either but has the odd fruit shoot as a treat.

Nope. Water and milk. I’ve even told her orange juice is only for papa.

My toddler doesn’t even have those cardboard juices 😕 I don’t think is wise to give your toddler pop. You are not wrong with your position towards this

He has tried my diet coke out of curiosity, however I would never give him a full fizzy drink at 2, he's more then happy with a fruit shoot or a innocent smoothie as a treat x

We are a water and milk only family, but I also grew up on water and milk so genuinely don’t even consider buying soft drinks. We rarely have juice in the house either but I would massively water that down if my toddler was having any. There is useful guidance on the NHS website re drinks for children if you need that to back your argument with family - shame you have to at all, but it’s there if you need.

Definitely a no from me. My son only knows water and milk and I’m trying to keep it that way for as long as I can 🤞🏽

No fizzy drinks here. Water or milk only. My little girl hasn’t even tried squash yet.
