Are the meals at Monash Hospital Diabetic friendly?

Hey there. I’ve just been booked into Monash hospital. I was wondering should I arrange my own meals as being diabetic. I was reading on another chat re diabetes some hospital meals don’t cater very well for this dietary requirement. Would like to know others experience?

I haven't given birth yet, but I'm going public through Monash, and the diabetes aspect of pregnancy has been so awful that I wouldn't trust them to provide decent meals. The midwives and OB are amazing, same with the ultrasound people, but the Diabetes area is terrible. They don't seem to be on the same page as anyone else.

Hospital food in general (unless you're at a private hospital) isn't great. I had my baby at the women's and the food portions were tiny and not that appealing. I just got family to bring food when they visited
