Gassy baby tips

My 11 week old has always had issues with gas. It has gotten a whole lot better! But I was wondering if anyone has any magical tips for those super stubborn gas bubbles to release. We give gas drops as needed, and every night before bed. Do the bicycle kicks, tummy rubs, hip rotations, etc. but seeing if someone found the MAGIC trick for the most stubborn bubbles 😅

For us, putting our son on our chest and having him do frog legs helps (let’s tucked up) and sitting him up on our laps (with back support) also has helped.

@Lauren Try cutting out dairy from your diet. That made an incredible difference for my baby. But you have to be strict (read ingredient labels). Commit to it, and you’ll see a difference. Also try cutting out gassy foods like beans or broccoli.

We were also using gas drops as needed but it was recommended that we use them more consistently and it’s been much better since we started them after every feed (or close enough, without going over the recommend 12 times a day)!

You may also consider talking with your pediatrician for some pain medication to manage this. It sounds like it’s pretty intense. I recently talked with mom that had been really struggling with similar stuff and the medication was able to help them not only deal with the pain but then improve all sorts of feeding things that were more the root cause of the issue (latch, etc). Good luck!
