Completely different, the needles are absolutely teeny compared to the blood thinners!!
Just started insulin today seems to be a lot less than finger prick 😊
Thanks ladies you have put me at ease! I am definitely over all the needles now so I was dreading it! We are going in to the final stretch now I just need to remind myself it’s not forever!
I’ve been back on insulin 5 times a day since I was 7 weeks pregnant, you will get bruises around your tummy which is normal ,try and move around where you inject once I start a pen I tend to keep it out of the fridge as it tends to sting less x
I know it's super hard to see on insulin needles, but if you can gently pinch the area where you intend to inject, and inject with the beveled edge pointing up at a 90 degree angle as this should help with the discomfort and bruising.
I’m a type 2 diabetic so had to go on insulin in March 2024 before falling pregnant and been on it 5 times a day ever since, the odd one may give you a sting, but nothing compared to blood thinning injections!
I’ve found injecting insulin easier & less painful than doing the finger prick test! I had blood thinner whilst in hospital & that was horrific. Insulin has been nothing like it!
