baby's first dentist appointment

so my child is 1 year and 5 months old and hasn't had a tooth pop through but showing teething signs. Her doctor wants her to go to the dentist and get a xray to make sure it looks right. So my question is how do they take the xrays? are they really put in a tube with their arms up and legs down? do they give them something to stay calm? how do they do it without the baby freaking out or getting hurt? And also how did you deal with seeing your child like that? I know they aren't hurting them but still i feel like it's hard to see.

I had to do a super fun urgent care visit when my kiddo was small and they needed to do an xray. For that one, they had me wear the lead vest also and he could be in my lap and I could get him positioned and talk him through it and sooth him while he freaked out at all the machinery. Call and ask your dentist the procedure! Our dentist still lets my almost three year old stay in my lap on the dentist chair the whole time. They show him stuff on me first and then let him try or hold the spin brush. Finding the right dentist is definitely key. You got this!!
