And my opinion I think 12 months is still to young to take them away all together as they are still on babies
My now 5 year old, had a baby bottle still until he weaned himself fully off milk. My 13 month old will be the same. They’re both excellent sleepers and I ain’t gonna sabotage that 😂😂
I ignored my health visitor🙈 I did what worked best for us! Eldest had bottle for bed till he was around 2
Another one here who’s ignored the health visitor 🙋♀️ My 1 year old is still having her bottle for her milk in the morning and at night but uses a straw cup through the day. A bottle of formula was her comfort and still is, I’m not ripping that away from her at the same time as putting her onto cows milk. As above they are still babies!
I also still use a bottle for milk morning and nighttime! And a straw cup for during the day! It’s a comfort thing, and I’ll continue to do so for a little while longer! They’re already going through so much change, I’m trying to keep something the same for her!
I tried doing the exact same as you and my LO didn’t take it either so we had to give his milk in a bottle and I will continue to do so. It’s only two bottles a day so I’m not too worried
We stopped using bottles when we switched to milk. We found it wasn't the cup that was the problem but the temperature of the milk.. once it was a bit warm little one drinks it all from her cup!
I just stopped, put his milk in sippy cups instead and had no issues.
Bottle morning and night, I have no intention of stopping any time soon. I aim to transition from around 18 months. My health visitor said so long as they’re off them by one not to worry too much. Bottles are such a vital part of our routine and managing twin life when it come to bed time. I also agree with @Heather Mayy in that they’re still so little.
Nuby have one of the best cups for transitioning as they’re still like a rubber teat (except not a teat they’re more of a bottle shape) and they don’t spill
Our LG still has a bottle morning and bedtime just for milk and throughout the day she will have her juice/water (sugar free) from a straw cup introduced around 6 months I was told to try take the bottle away around 15months but every child is different my son didn't stop using his bedtime bottle till he was 2 it worked for us all and he told us when he didn't want it no more and I'll be waiting for my our LG does too as she falls to sleep with her milk at bed
