Formula help

My LO was on Aptamil from brith until Saturday just gone so just over 7 weeks, we have changed him to kendamil due to him having really bad gas and being uncomfortable. He now is constantly pooping, near enough every nappy has some in , will this die down after he’s used to it or do I need to swap again ? Just a concerned first time mum

Switching types of feeding and formulas can disrupt their digestion and then cause different poos etc, I think this sounds normal! My little one wasn’t gaining weight so we had to introduce some formula, the first couple of days she was pooping constantly and A LOT too, it died down after 2/3 days and she’s a lot more regular and less now. As long as little one doesn’t seem uncomfortable, definitely let his body get used to the change and see if it calms down, as just swapping over again will likely just cause more disruption to his system and have the same effect xxx

Switching formula isn’t always best for baby as it can actually cause quite an upset for them. This will be baby getting used to the formula. I would say you need to wait this one out and don’t go changing formula. Also before you change you should be consulting your HV or gp

Yeah when I switched formulas she went from pooping 1-2 times a day to like 4-5 and it felt like it was constant 😭 it decreased after a week

@Samantha HV advised to swap we didn’t do it on our own accord
