They can be room temperature!

They can be room temp, but if you don’t use the whole thing it needs to be refrigerated and then it’s recommended to warm it up a little at least as babies shouldn’t really have COLD milk xxx

@Ellie-May if baby has drunk from the bottle it’s only good for 1 hour, after that it needs to be discarded

@N 💞 Oh I thought they meant the pre-made formula, we poured half into a MAM bottle for her and stored the rest in the fridge. I didn’t know there was some that you could have baby just drink straight from that’s good xx

@Ellie-May oh yes if you’re pouring it into a different bottle that’s fine to store the remaining in the fridge. But there are a lot of pre made that come with a sterilised teat and baby drinks straight from that, those would need to be discarded within the hour

The hosp said the pre made bottles need to be used within an hour if opened (even if tipping into another bottle). We give our little one breast milk directly from fridge / and it’s fine xxx

Once opened (not drunk from) they can be stored in the fridge for 24 hours but they can be warmed in warm water or drunk at room temp 🙂

@Lauren I wonder if they say that in hospital then as you can’t put it in the fridge! Makes sense xxx

My hospital told me to measure out what I needed and then put my bottles in the fridge and just warmed up what I needed when baby needed feeding so it must be different in other hospitals.

All formula can be given at room temp. If it’s the ready to drink pre-made formula follow the instructions on the formula for how long it can be open (and refrigerated) before needing to be discarded. If it’s powder formula bottles that you are making ahead of time they can also be given at room temp but need to be given within 2 hours of making unless kept in the fridge in which case good for 24 hours

They can be room temp! but I do this at night times I pre-make the bottles wait for them to cool down before I put them in the mini fridge and then during the night I can just grab one out and put it in the bottle warmer that I got of Amazon x

They can drink it warm. They can drink it room temperature. They'll even drink it cold. They might have a preference for one of them but in a pinch...they'll drink it!
