Midwife booking appointment

Hiya, I found out I am pregnant 2 weeks ago, I phoned my GP and they took some info and said the hospital would be in touch. Does anyone know how long this will take?! I feel like I need some reassurance because I found out early and am going out of my mind with worry! My previous pregnancy was 4 years ago and the booking appointment was at the GP, they said this doesn’t happen anymore (it was within a few days of me calling). Just wondering if anyone has experience of the new protocol! Thanks x

I had my second baby in October & they took some info, booked an appointment with me for when I thought I’d be 9 weeks at the doctors, they then did the checks at the doctors & I had a letter for my 12 week scan a week later. I’m guessing they might by pass the doctors appointment and just get a letter for your 12 week scan maybe? I was so anxious as I found out early as well so had to wait weeks until my doctors appointment! If you feel like you need reassurance I paid I think £40 at peekababy around 6 weeks so I could see a heartbeat etc. or if you’re having any problems you can do to the day assessment unit at your hospital and they may scan you early if you have pains etc x

I got my booking appointment through when I was roughly 8 weeks pregnant. They emailed me

I had my booking appointment through Russell's hall at 10weeks. I got my scan letter soon after and had my scan bang on 12 weeks. I know this is not helpful :(
