Positive test 4 weeks after miscarriage

Hi, I had my first miscarriage 4 weeks ago. Today I have had a faint positive, but I’m worried this is just from still having hcg in my system. Although I done a test a few days after all my bleeding had stopped and it was negative. How likely is it to have a positive test again 4 weeks after a miscarriage? Anxious to get my hopes up x

It could be. Did you get a negative test after your MC? So you know if you ovulated this month by doing OPKs? If you had a positive OPK then I would say it’s a true positive. If not, you’ll have to wait and see.

@Victoria yes I had a negative test after my miscarriage. I never tracked my ovulation as I thought I’d wait until after I had a period to start again but I had all the signs of ovulation. I will re test in a few days thanks for your reply

Hi please send me a message x

I think if you actually had a negative it’s more likely to be a fresh positive, but with out knowing that you actually ovulated, there’s no way to tell but time. Get some of the cheap dip tests (you can get multi packs of 10-20 in the pharmacy) and test each morning for a few mornings. If it gets darker over time it’s a new pregnancy but if it stays the same or fades it’s probably just left over HCG. The HCG disappearing from your system completely will trigger a new ovulation. That’s why it’s worth tracking ovulation after miscarriage too because it confirms you are back to a normal cycle

@Victoria would you say this is a good progression

Is the bottom one the first or second test?

@Victoria the bottom is the second one

It all looks good! The line has gotten darker Goodluck!!
