My little girl had this but it seemed to go away when we changed food as she was having the reflux formula
I’ve funnily had to call the doctors for my little one and when she called he did a poo and it was fine after not pooing for 2/3 days and having rabbit droppings for poo each time. She said to keep on ready made milk for the night feeds as it has laxatives in them to keep him regular as yes the formula bungs them up. She also said that they can have cool boiled water or an extra oz of water in their bottles. So 3 oz bottle with 3 scoops of powder and then top it up with cool boiled water to 4oz. She said that if the baby’s are less then a month old there isn’t anything like laxatives can be prescribed x
@Laura (Lor) my baby is 2 weeks old, I will defiantly try the ready made bottles of a night thank you
No worries, she did say it is normal and very common. It’s adjusting to the formula as my boy was on the ready made stuff at hospital so going from them to powder really made things worse. Also it’ll take a while for the ready made milk to go through their systems so don’t panic if it doesn’t work over night x
@Devon what was you using and what did you change to?
Speak to your GP. My little one was suffering with bouts of this. His older brother had cow milk protein allergy which presented with diarrhea so I was wary this could be the same. Went to GP this week and got the prescription formula and his symptoms have gotten sooooo much better in 4 days! Worth thinking of all possible symptoms they might have. Even if it's just constipation, they can give you advice/medication to help. Hope you get to the bottom of it, it's horrible to see them in pain
