@Leighann thank you for sharing! She is CMPA too and majority of her symptoms are settled with the milk she’s on, but it’s just the reflux that will not budge🤦🏽♀️at least there’s hope that it will get better eventually 🫶🏼
My girl is lactose intolerant the only fomula that helped her with that is soy fomula she still struggles with reflux she's 5 months she's going for a swallow study for her congestion she's had since being put on reflux medicine and thinking up her milk they wanna make sure it's not getting into her air way
My little boy is 7.5 months now as still spits up quite a bit but it is slowly getting better (in frequency and amount of spit up)... we actually have times in the day where it feels like we are safe from the sick for a bit! He is not on any medication. He did have a tongue tie which was released under general anaesthetic, due to the thickness, when he was 10 weeks old. After this, the sick reduced by about 50%. He has not had any issues with weaning. I do wondered if the tongue tie is aggravating it? My NHS trust would only release up to 12 weeks though x
My little girl is 14 months old and still no end in sight. Everyday is a nightmare trying to give her food. Pediatriacian didn’t help, GP didn’t help, omeprazole didn’t help. I have a visit with the dietician, I’ve lost hope now. Hopefully it helps
Same boat here she is going to be 12 months. Cow milk intolerant and on omeprazole too. Her feeding journey is challenging and she refuses to eat most of the food. So I totally relate.
@Ella they released it once and then it reattached thicker because they didn’t give me any aftercare exercises to do and I didn’t know any better. Last time I saw the paediatrician she said ‘there’s no way tongue tie is causing all this’ and wouldn’t really do much else. It’s like they just don’t seem to care because she’s not losing weight. Was told once we’re weaning she will be better but here we are 2 months in and still no better😅I’m going to push them and see what else they can do x
@Joanna your situation sounds very similar to ours. My baby had his done at 4 weeks old (privately) and it healed worse so the one under GA was the second one. My baby was also putting on a good amount of weight but I think we were lucky with the oral surgeon who treated him and did seem to care. It is so difficult when you are doing everything you can but can't seem to fix it x
My little girls reflux didn’t stop until around 10 months old. I was exactly the same as you! My daughter has CMPA. I believe it was around the time that she started crawling lots that the sickness stopped, not sure if it was linked! You’ll get there💗
I just wanted to say my little girl is 7 months today - also CMPA & on carobel and still SO sick! If we’ve had 2 outfit changes a day we are on a good day. It can happen as soon as bottles or hours after! Also been weaning since 5 months and some days have the same problem. Sorry no advice xx
We got a script for pepcid at 1 mo.and it was a life changer
@Tiffany I’ve heard so many good things about it but apparently they don’t prescribe it in the UK anymore😢
Not me but a friend of mine said her daughter didn’t start getting better until 10 months. She also ended up being lactose intolerant/CMPA which wasn’t discovered until much later so dairy wasn’t good for her even when transitioning to solids
