Potty training- help
Is anyone else dealing with a super stubborn toddler? My little girl is flat out refusing to use her potty. We tried to go cold Turkey a couple of months ago, but she was just holding it and holding it and making herself ill.
When we bring up the potty she just shouts ‘no’ or ‘I don’t want potty’. I don’t want to scare her off it, but I want to get her using it. We would have tried earlier but we moved last year, then had a new baby in July so she already had lots of change. Now I fear we’ve left it too late!
We’ve tried reward charts, bribes, playing with it but she flat out refuses. I don’t want nursery thinking we’re being lazy! Any advice from anyone who has been through it?

No advice but we are going through the same! Completely refuses to use the potty! We haven't moved but had another baby in October X
Have you tried getting a toilet seat? My daughter has literally just been toilet trained over the past month and she also refused a potty but would go on the actual toilet. She said she wanted to be like us. I then gave her a snack shelf in the bathroom so once she’d used the toilet and washed her hands she could pick whatever she wants. It was a long process to get her to stick to but it finally clicked! X

I would slowly introduce language like mummy’s going to the toilet, oh I just had a wee, show so much excitement and fun. She may take to toilet seat instead of a potty. Make it fun as a family. That’s what we did. Was very open of when we needed to go and what we did etc
