@Bethaney thank you, they did say it was mild as well and as I say, she hides from him so it's not like he ever even has opportunity to touch her. Fortunately, with her being long haired we don't find individual hairs either, it comes off in clumps that are easy enough to pick up but I also hoover every day. I know if we gave her up, the kids would be devastated too and I don't want my son to feel like it's because of him 😔 It's such a dilemma 😩 I'm keeping her but hate myself for it lol x
If he’s on antihistamines for other allergies anyway I wouldn’t worry about it too much, it would be different if he had to take them just because of your cat. It’s a heartbreaking situation. My partner is allergic to come cats but not having cats is a dealbreaker for me and thankfully he’s not allergic to our two but even if our son is in the future I won’t be rehoming them they’re my family. Some people outgrow allergies as they get older and your son might be the same, don’t feel guilty you’re managing it the best you can c
