Advice on traveling with 7 month old

Any type of advice would be amazing, I am traveling with my son at the end of the month to India, the flight is going to be very long, I have got snacks, toys, headphones and comfort things sorted just wondering if I need anything else.

No advice I’m in the same boat and would like tips xx

Try and book front row seats with a bassinet. Also if you use a sling or carrier take that on board with you to save you from holding him the whole he can spend some time in the carrier to give you breaks. Lots of nappies as I think the pressure makes them poo...mine did more than usual. All the essentials obviously bottles, food etc. If he uses a dummy then use this for take off and landing to help with pressure in his ears. Some ppl give their babies a dose of calpol before boarding to help with ear pain but I didn't do this. You can check in the pram if it's too big for carry on but you leave it at the plane entrance for them to put into hold. When you land using the carrier is helpful to carry baby until luggage belt where you collect your pram. There's no limits on baby food, water, formula etc in his own carry on bag. Hope that helps! Have a great time! Xx

We are going to Mexico in 2 weeks and can’t wait. Lemees above has said all the tricks I have been told.

sounds like you've got a solid plan, but maybe throw in some extra wipes and a change of clothes just in case! I actually checked the 'Heal Baby Care App' for this and here’s what it says: "It sounds like you’re well-prepared for the long flight! In addition to what you have, consider bringing a lightweight blanket or travel pillow for added comfort, and some travel-friendly activities like coloring books or puzzles to keep him engaged. Also, pack a small first-aid kit with essentials like band-aids and any medications he might need. Have you thought about how you’ll manage his sleep schedule during the flight?

@Lemees got the front row seat with the bassinet, knowing my son he will refuse to lay in it, I was thinking of breastfeeding during take off and landing

@Susan thank you, no idea if he will sleep properly. Having bad naps already and having sleep regression.

We’ve travelled multiple times with our baby with long flights too. Lots of good ideas above! One more thing is to plan ahead of sleep/nap/milk/food schedules and think about backup plans (in case flights/transports are delayed etc.) Spare clothes are essential too because extra poo explosions might come. Our LO pooed 6 times during a 12 hour flight and poo leaked twice 😅🫣
