Formula amounts at 2/3weeks

Just looking at some responses on how much formula baby is getting - are mums going by when the baby is rooting or what the box says ? We’re already at the max suggestion on the aptamil box for her age but sometimes she wants more ? And I don’t know whether she should or not.. looking at some responses saying 4 oz every 2-3 hours would be over on the box suggestions so have you been told that’s ok? (Our health visitor didn’t say!)

Our little man is 9 days and has shown signs of wanting more so we’ve started making 4 ounces. Sometimes he has in between 3 and 4. I think it’s better to make the 4 and have it instead of getting to finish 3 and baby still showing signs of hunger 😊

With our first child we went off every time he was consistently finishing his bottle, we'd up the amount in the bottle to make sure he was getting what he wanted. The box just offers a guideline x

I’ve a 13day old girl and she’s having between 3-4oz every 3-4hours. We put 4oz in each bottle so she has the choice if she’s wanting more 😊

My girl is 1 month today and she is currently taking 120ml (4oz) comfortably every 3 hours in day time. Every 4 hours at night

I’ve been told to feed them as and when they want feeding, no limit, feed on demand they call it. My little girl is just over 2weeks and she drinks 4-5 ounces every 2-3hours, health visitor said that was fine,

My midwife and HV basically told me to ignore the box and go off what your baby needs. My son was 9lb9 at birth and is having approx 120-150ml per feed at almost three weeks old. The box is just a guide but do what’s right for your baby :)
