Wiping hands. Drying dishes or pots or knives or chopping boards since I don’t put those in the dishwasher. We also have a pack of 50 white Terry towels for meal and table cleanup, and then another 20 or so microfibre towels for table wiping and microwave/oven/stove/glass cleaning. Those tea towels you got we hang on the oven door for easy access. Sometimes I use them as pot holders
I have a different description in mind for "tea towel " which is a thin cotton towel used to cover dishes to keep the contents warm. 🤷 the ones with hangers I just use as decoration or to wipe my hands in a pinch
If they are thin and don’t have like a lil decorative design then it’s For lining baskets & bowls baked goods will be stored in, for covering raising breads, covering fresh baked goods to retain their heat, steaming tortillas, improvised trivets / potholders / tea cozy, some people lay them between their pots and pans when their stacked ontop of eachother in storage. If their more decorative then their really just a dish towel lol
To dry your dishes.
I don’t necessarily like them because yeah they aren’t really absorbent. So it’s decoration if I have it and maybe a hand towel. But usually I try not to get them
I've only ever used tea towels for drying dishes. FYI: currently have DEXAM tea towels which are very absorbent 🥳 A few years ago I found out there are people who have decorative 'show' tea towels 🙃😆
Tea towels are used for drying dishes.
