Constipation tips

What are your best constipation tips for a seven month old? We have lactulose and do the bike legs etc. nothing has helped yet and also I’m not sure why they give lactulose when poops are runny? She’s started weaning but doesn’t have much. Thanks!

Prunes purée from Ella’s kitchen. Our boy loves it and it works within an hour

I have heard the prune fruit packs are helpful. In general "p foods" (pumpkin, peaches, peas, etc) apparently help. My son is 9 months and we joke eats his weight in berries daily, which I think gives him a lot of fibre Also making sure they're drinking enough water! I usually just offer it with meals and it seems to keep things moving

We use prunes purees too. Also my 8th month old is formula fed on cow and gate and if he's a bit constipated I'll give him a ready made bottle of cow and gate (my midwife recommended it) x

Applesauce works for my daughter every time!

Is it from formula? Adjusting diet helps. Make sure your baby has enough to drink. Some formula was giving my baby constipation, and I switched it. Prunes puree and boiled and mashed carrots help. Also, fennel tea.

Try orange juice, freshly squeezed x

Apple sauce
