@Jalyn, i definitely wish you luck! 1 I can imagine is sort of tough, but 2. Super mama
My 19mo girl will look at me with a big smile and say “stinky poopies!” Right after taking a dump so I think she’s ready too. And whenever I say “potty time!” She goes straight to the bathroom. I’ve been showing her where to go potty and how, ig it just hasn’t clicked for her yet. I’ve been trying the no diaper method so she can see herself peeing and pooping, and then I have her clean it up (as best as she can lol) and redirect her to the bathroom. I also put timers to take her to sit on the potty. No luck yet🥲 But HOPEFULLY, with consistency she’ll get it. All I know is.. consistency and patience is KEY. Will be following for more advice😭🙏🏼🙏🏼
Start reading some potty books to set the stage. He can get the idea that pee goes in the potty and he should tell you when he needs to go. Hopefully, that will cut down on peeing in the bed.... if that goes well look for other signs of readiness.
Following! My son will be 2 in June and loves going to the bathroom w me but struggles to want to actually stay sitting on HIS potty I got him . He’ll get up from it tho now and will ask for TP and act like he’s wiping and throw it in his potty . He just doesn’t knw when exactly he’s peeing tho
Mine also started to wet his bed around 2. I think he scratched inside his diaper or smtg and then it got loose and wet the bed. I did double diaper and put a plastic nap under his bedsheet to stop the mattress in getting wet! Worked until potty training was done. Good luck.
And yes, start with making them aware of potty and reading books about it.
@Nikki he does the same thing with toilet paper. He will "flush" his toilet as well while sitting on it...
Following! I have an almost 3 year old and almost 2 year old wanting to maybe try to do both at the same time!
