Potty training

Hi, can anyone advise on tips for potty training? My son is coming up to 2 and a half next month, he’s recognising when he needs a wee etc but would rather wear a nappy than use his potty, he will sit on it, same with a toilet seat but so far he’s only used his potty once. Any tips are appreciated

We are potty training right now! We tried at 2.5 and it did not go well. She is now 2 years and 9 months, and it is going much better. We started Monday and each day she has had one pee accident and 1 poop. Except today she had pooped on the potty both times so far! Anyways. We decided to not do the naked method. Tried it the first time and she didn’t like it. She came to the store with me and we let her pick up big girl underwear. she picked frozen ones. She also used a frozen potty chart up until today. I phased it out today and so far she is okay with that. We did 1 sticker for trying, 2 for pee, and 3 for poop. Every 5 stickers at first she got a treat. Yesterday we did every 10. We tell her 10 billion times a day to check in with her body and see if she needs to go. And if has been a while, we have her go sit and don’t ask. We have also been giving her tons of liquids to make her pee a lot. lol

I managed to to potty train my daughter just over 2 years old in a few days, i would let her without anything for the first two days and have the potty in the living room, but also try to encourage her to go to the toilet , she didnt have much accidents, and i would make a massive deal when she did go and have a little dance to make it exciting. By day 5 she was potty trained 🙂 you have to make sure to have the time to do it for a few days straight and ask them every half hour if they need to go, its repetative but dont go back and forth with putting a nappy on as it will get confusing x
